Wild Jungle Tobacco
In Peruvian traditions, Mapacho is considered a powerful counterpart to Ayahuasca — a vital plant ally both within and beyond the ceremony space. Shamans use it in various forms: as hand-rolled cigars, as dry or liquid snuff, or as a strong purgative.
The smoke of ceremonial cigars carries intention and guides energy. It can be used to protect a space, to cleanse, and to connect the earthly with the celestial. Outside of ceremony, Mapacho smoke helps to focus the mind, ground the body, and clarify intention.
Rapé or liquid snuff is a more physical application. It clears mental fog, opens the senses, and supports the release of stored energies.
When used as a purgative, Mapacho cleanses the entire system — preparing body, mind, and spirit for deeper work with the master plants.
